Annual Walkthrough Inspections
In 2015, the US EPA published new regulations for underground storage tanks that include updated testing and inspection requirements. In addition to 30-Day Walkthrough Inspections, UST owners and operators must conduct an annual walkthrough inspection of the UST system.
Annual walkthrough inspections must include:
-
Checking containment sumps for damage and leaks within the containment area; checking for releases to the environment
-
Removal of liquid or debris found in containment sumps
-
Checking double-walled containment sumps for leaks in the interstitial area, if applicable
-
Checking hand-held release detection equipment (i.e.: groundwater bailers or tank gauge sticks)
Choosing R&A to conduct the annual walkthrough inspection at your facility guarantees you will receive a thorough, independent report that meets EPA requirements. Our standard inspection documentation includes a detailed report of regulatory compliance issues and a listing of recommended maintenance items. Photos of all identified issues are available upon request.
The R&A inspection and documentation is fully compliant with state and federal regulations.
